Meet Pastor Chuthai

CHUTHAI VUE

CAMPUS PASTOR

Pastor Chuthai is a dedicated spiritual leader and passionate advocate for his community, whose journey is deeply rooted in resilience and faith. Born as a Hmong refugee in Laos, he faced tremendous challenges when he arrived in the United States in the early 1980s. Coming to a new country alone, without family, was a daunting experience that tested his strength and resolve. However, Pastor Chuthai later recognized this difficult journey as part of a God-ordained plan that set the foundation for his life and ministry.

Over 33 years ago, Pastor Chuthai married his wife, and together they have built a loving family with five children: four boys and one girl. Their marriage has flourished through shared faith and commitment to their cultural heritage. For the first decade of their life together, Pastor Chuthai held tightly to his Hmong cultural beliefs and traditions, yet it was not until he experienced a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit that his life took a transformative turn. This spiritual awakening opened the door to numerous miracles in both his life and that of his wife, deepening their faith and resolve to serve others.

Pastor Chuthai pursued his calling and obtained his pastoral credentials through the Assemblies of God, amassing over 20 years of experience in ministry. He is currently working with Lifepoint
Church, where he is instrumental in launching initiatives that aim to serve the Hmong community in the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton metropolitan area as well as outreach efforts in Southeast Asia. His passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ drives him to connect with individuals and families, creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels they belong.

As a leader, Pastor Chuthai embodies the message, “you belong here.” He is eager to meet new faces and invite them into the Lifepoint Hmong Family, fostering a community grounded in faith, love, and cultural pride.
